Exercise Bootcamps
Why are exercise bootcamps proving to be so popular? At first glance you might wonder that anyone would subject themselves to a program such as this - six hours of abuse per day, exhausting workouts in the mud and the rain. So what's the appeal?
Talk to anyone who has attended any exercise bootcamps and you'll soon get a very different picture. Rather than talking about how tough the workouts are, they will talk instead about the camaraderie, the feeling of achievement, the energy they gained.
Exercise bootcamps are a growing phenomenon, increasingly popular with not just men looking to show how tough they are, but also women. Women's only events are one of the fastest growing sectors, as more and more women discover that this is a fantastic way to kick start their fitness, or indeed lose a dress size quickly.
Programs are based on military training, and thus will include a mixture of elements such as:
Parade drills
Battle drills
Team games
Obstacle courses
Boxing
Running
Circuit training
Core work
Days are long - up to six hours a day - but you will quickly find that you can cope with these extreme physical demands, doing so much more than you ever thought possible.
And when you're done, you'll find it hard to go back to the same old habits that got you overweight or out of shape in the first place.
Your new sense of self confidence, self worth and self esteem, added to the knowledge that you can conquer any challenge, will find you able to meet the new challenge of staying in shape back in the real
world.
